About Rapid-Search-Engine.com

Rapid-Search-Engine.com is an index of files available to download from file sharing sites such as Rapidshare.com.
It's important that you understand that Rapid-Search-Engine.com does NOT host, link to, provide or engage in the uploading of any of the files listed. Rapid-Search-Engine.com is an automated website, using inbound traffic to capture Rapidshare links. This is an automated process and Rapid-Search-Engine.com has no control over what is indexed. Rapid-Search-Engine.com, stores only information about said files and not the files themselves.

It is however our policy to respond to valid infringement notices and take appropriate actions under the copyright laws that we are in compliance with. Rapid-Search-Engine.com is in full compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and international copyright laws.

Content Removal

If your copyrighted material has been indexed by Rapid-Search-Engine.com you can request its removal by sending us a so-called "DMCA notice". However, these notices have to follow a few important steps, to make them valid and to allow us to process them. The steps that you have to take to send in a DMCA notice are described below:

  • Infringing Content
Write an email and specify the page on Rapid-Search-Engine.com where you believe copyrighted material has been infringed upon. For example: "The copyrighted work appears on http://rapid-search-engine.com/index-cmd-legal.html".
  • Contact Information
Provide us sufficient contact information so that we may contact you (name and email address is required).
  • Evidence
Provide us with evidence that you own the copyright to said content.
  • Good Faith
Include the following statement: "I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials described above as allegedly infringing is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  • Declare Under Oath
Include the following statement: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
  • Email
Email all the information to legal@rapid-search-engine.com.

Rapid-Search-Engine.com will act on all removal requests in a timely matter, as long as you provide the information we have requested.

We will verify the information that you send us and get the content removed if we accept your DMCA notification. Please note that you will be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys' fees) if you materially misrepresent that a product or activity is infringing your copyrights. Indeed, in a recent case (please see http://www.onlinepolicy.org/action/legpolicy/opg_v_diebold/ for more information), a company that sent an infringement notification seeking removal of online materials that were protected by the fair use doctrine was ordered to pay such costs and attorneys fees. The company agreed to pay $125,000. Accordingly, if you are not sure whether material available online infringes your copyright, we suggest that you first contact an attorney.
